It is estimated that 50.1 million Americans (14.9 percent of the U.S. population) live in food insecure households. This means that at some point during the year (this statistic is from 2012) household food consumption was disrupted or reduced because the household lacked money or resources to obtain food. (ELCA World Hunger).
Join Repair the World and the Coalition Against Hunger for a free, hands-on, interactive evening to get a glimpse at what it is like to make decisions that a person living in food insecurity, or “very low food security,” would face. Light refreshments will be served.
