“Rock the Block” – Saturday November 2, 2019

November 2 at 9:30 am - 4:30 pm

Free

In the Spring of 2019 Councilman Curtis Jones, Jr teamed up with Trades for a Difference (TFAD) to address two burgeoning issues within the 4th District— aging seniors who wanted to stay in their deteriorating homes, and “at-risk youth who needed a skill and employment.  By establishing a partnership with TFAD,we were able to focus on both issues which has allowed us to impact inter-generational communities throughout our district by implementing projects with a purpose.

The event will be a two-part series which includes the Home Maintenance segment that will run from 9:00am until 1:00pm and a Fall Resource Harvest Festival which will run from 1:30pm until 4:30pm.  We would like for you to join us in our efforts by you coming out to set-up a resource and bring your benefits truck table during the Fall Resource Harvest Festival part of this event .

The Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity’s BenePhilly Mobile Unit will be present at this event in support of our community partners. CEO’s mobile unit is an effort to reach low income Philadelphians and connect them with the public benefits and other resources they deserve and provide many of the same services as the BenePhilly Centers. Benefit screenings can be conducted on the spot. For more information or to request our Benephilly mobile unit at your event- send an email to: benephilly@phila.gov
